Bonjour Mes Amies! I just finished watching this cute little Taiwanese movie called,
The Soul Of Bread. It was released this year and its adorable. The plot line revolves around Ping who is the daughter of a baker. Now we first learn that she has a boyfriend named Gao-bing. He too is a baker and a very good one, only he doesn't create his own recipes. He just copies them to almost perfection. Now in comes Bread, yes his name is bread. He is a famous french baker. His mother was best friends with Pings mom. When his mother dies he returns to Taiwan to find out the bread that his mother loves so much and his stumbles across the family bake shop where he meets Ping and Gao-bing. Now this creates conflict because Ping desperately wants to go to France, but Gao-bing won't let her. So who else to sweep a lady off her feet then some hot foreigner??? And the competition begins. Bread is so charming! Gao-bing has his moments too lets not forget that. The movie has a very good upbeat and a bit of humor mixed in. I enjoyed it. I hope everyone will too.
